800th Anniversary Campaign passes £900 million mark
The fourth annual fundraising report on the 800th Anniversary Campaign has been released. It shows that despite the economic downturn the Colleges and the University have maintained the momentum of this important fundraising campaign. At the end of the financial year 2008/9, the Campaign had raised £940 million from alumni and friends of the University.
The Vice-Chancellor said: "We are enormously grateful to all our donors for their outstanding support. The Campaign is playing a vital role in securing collegiate Cambridge’s long-term financial underpinnings and ensuring that we can continue to offer transformative teaching and research for future generations".
