The power of partnership
Cambridge’s past 800 years is a history of partnership: between research and teaching, the twin pillars of Cambridge's greatness; between academics working across subject boundaries; between the University and the Colleges; and with our supporters.
Your participation in the 800th Anniversary Campaign is playing a key role in sustaining Cambridge's excellence for the long-term. While the collegiate University has received some spectacular gifts through the Campaign, the £1 billion raised to date is the collective achievement of all of the 40,000-plus people who are supporting Cambridge. The Campaign is about your generosity of spirit, and your desire to support the fundamental values of a great University.
Gifts to the Campaign range from £25 to millions of pounds. They come from every corner of the world, and they are directed towards a range of subjects as diverse as the University's academic gaze is wide. All of them, however, have a common purpose: they are made by people and organisations who share Cambridge's commitment to excellence through academic freedom and autonomy. Each one of these gifts represents an act of support that is deeply appreciated at Cambridge.
